Jeremiah 46

Jeremiah 46

This chapter begins the collection of prophecies against the nations, starting with Egypt. God prophesies the defeat of Pharaoh Neco at the Battle of Carchemish by Nebuchadnezzar. Jeremiah describes the panic and destruction of the Egyptian army. God promises that though Judah will be scattered, God will not make a complete end of them, but will correct them in measure. God tells Israel not to fear the destruction of Egypt, as He will save them, but Judah must still face discipline.
