Jeremiah 4

Jeremiah 4

Jeremiah warns Judah that repentance must be sincere and immediate to avoid the terrifying invasion approaching from the north. He urges them to circumcise their hearts and wash themselves of evil. The prophet sees a devastating vision of the land turned into a wilderness, cities destroyed, and people fleeing without refuge. Jeremiah expresses his profound inner anguish over the impending destruction of his people. He warns Jerusalem to cleanse herself, lest God's fury burn like fire that no one can quench.
