Jeremiah 50

Jeremiah 50

This chapter begins the long prophecy (continuing in chapter 51) against Babylon. God commands the nations to declare the fall of Babylon, whose idols are shamed and whose pride is broken. God promises that Israel and Judah will be redeemed from Babylon. God declares that Babylon will be destroyed because of her arrogance against the Lord and her cruel treatment of God's inheritance. God calls for the mighty archers of the earth to assemble against Babylon and repay her according to her deeds.
