Jeremiah 5

Jeremiah 5

God challenges Jerusalem: if they can find just one person who executes justice and seeks the truth, God will pardon the city. Jeremiah searches but finds pervasive rebellion, from the rich and powerful to the poor. The people refuse correction and declare, "The Lord will not do good, nor will He do evil." God declares that because they have worshipped foreign gods, they will be given into the hands of a foreign nation. God promises to bring destruction upon the wicked, but will not make a full end of His people.
