Jeremiah 6

Jeremiah 6

Jeremiah sounds the alarm, warning the people of Judah to prepare for the invasion. The enemy is described as a cruel, mighty army that will besiege Jerusalem. Jeremiah details the deep spiritual sickness in the city: prophets and priests are greedy, and the people refuse to repent, claiming, "We are safe" while doing evil. God instructs Jeremiah to test the people as a refiner tests silver. The people are rejected because they are like worthless dross, failing to change their ways.
