Philippians 3

Philippians 3

Paul warns the Philippians against the Judaizers ("dogs," "mutilators of the flesh") who preach salvation by the Law. Paul contrasts his powerful Jewish credentials with his faith in Christ, stating he counts all his former achievements as rubbish in comparison to knowing Christ. Paul’s one ambition is to know Christ and the power of His resurrection. He urges them to follow his example of pressing on toward the heavenly goal and warns them against those whose god is their stomach.
