John urges the church to walk in love and obey God's commands. He warns them severely not to welcome or greet deceivers who deny Christ came in the flesh.

John commends his friend Gaius for his hospitality toward traveling missionaries. He sternly condemns Diotrephes for his malicious actions and arrogant refusal to cooperate.

Jude urges believers to contend earnestly for the faith against godless intruders who promote immorality. He instructs them to have mercy on doubters and keep themselves in God's love.

John receives a vision on the island of Patmos. He sees the glorious resurrected Christ standing among the seven golden lampstands and is commanded to write what he has seen.

Jesus dictates letters to four of the seven churches. He praises Ephesus, encourages Smyrna, and rebukes Pergamum and Thyatira for tolerating false doctrine and immorality.

Jesus dictates the final three letters, rebuking Sardis (spiritually dead) and Laodicea (lukewarm). He praises Philadelphia and stands at the door, knocking.

John is taken up to heaven, seeing God seated on the throne surrounded by twenty-four elders and four living creatures engaged in continuous worship.

John weeps because no one is worthy to open the scroll. The Lamb, looking as if it had been slain (Jesus), is declared worthy, and heaven erupts in worship of His sacrifice.

The Lamb opens the six seals, releasing the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (conquest, war, famine, death) and the terrifying wrath of God and the Lamb.

Two groups are protected: 144,000 sealed from Israel and an innumerable multitude from every nation who have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb.

The seventh seal is opened, followed by silence. Seven angels are given seven trumpets. The first four trumpets bring partial destruction to the land, sea, and sky.

The fifth trumpet unleashes demonic locusts from the Abyss to torment the wicked. The sixth trumpet unleashes a massive army to kill a third of mankind.
