2 Chronicles 29

2 Chronicles 29

Hezekiah, Ahaz’s son, becomes king and immediately begins a massive spiritual revival. In the very first month of his reign, he orders the Levites to cleanse and consecrate the long-neglected Temple of the Lord. Hezekiah restores the Temple worship, re-establishing the proper roles of the priests and Levites. The people gather and celebrate a great atonement ceremony for the nation’s sins, offering numerous burnt offerings and sacrifices to reconcile themselves with God.
